You may already be a parent when you injure your spinal cord, or you may wish to become a parent after you have sustained your injury. Parenting from a wheelchair presents some unique challenges, though can be overcome with assistance and planning.

Women with spinal cord injury can have both successful pregnancies and child rearing experiences. With careful management a woman can expect an excellent outcome for herself and for her infant.
